Semi-permanent release system for molding processes

The technology of semi-permanent release systems has provided the industry with an alternative to traditional release systems such as "reapply after each molding". 

Benefits of using semi-permanent release systems:

• More molding cycles can be completed per shift due to efficient separation and less need for more frequent application of the release system.
• Matrices can be used for a longer period of time, because in the process of work and use of the release system, it doesn’t accumulate on the tooling, and incredibly high protective properties of the surface are also provided.

The technology of the semi-permanent release system is widely used in all technologies for the production of composite products. 
Semi-permanent release agents are designed to bond to the tooling surface, creating a durable polymer layer that is both mechanically and chemically resistant.

Semi-permanent release system consists of the following components:

• Surface cleaner;
• primer;
• pore filler;
• topcoat / release agent.

This system may vary depending on the need for release. Not all of the listed components are always required - for example, a primer. However, due to the aggressive molding environment of most
 closed molding processes, the use of a primer is always recommended for such processes. For example:

• Traditional semi-permanent components are designed to be rubbed onto the surface of a tool and then rubbed dry to provide a finish on the surface of the tool.
• Higher slip systems are possible, such as deep corner tooling for easier product removal.
• Products are also available that only need to be applied to the surface of the tooling, without subsequent wiping, even on most high gloss surfaces. This product will dry to form a uniform "film" on the surface.

Semi-permanent separation systems provide:

 Multishield™ - high slip.

 Multisheild™ is a high performance general purpose semi-permanent release agent. It offers numerous removals on most compounds such as epoxies, phenols, 
polyester resins, polyimides, various rubbers and elastomers.

Flex-Z ™ 1.0 - 6.0 - different degrees of slip.

A combination of six products on a common platform, Flex-Z™ offers a choice of separation levels. Flex-Z™ reduces prep time, eliminates settling and provides predictable separation.
